Tall director chairs by ARC Marine: true captain’s chairs
ARC Marine is known internationally for its teak director chairs. The tall models may be used as helm seat or bar stool. Our director chairs are favourites because of their sitting comfort, supreme quality and easy folding. They are very stable, with armrests that ensure a pleasant seat, certainly during longer sailing trips. And what’s more: they add a touch of luxury to your cabin or cockpit.
Director Chair I, our classical tall director chair, is fitted with a cross frame and is simply stored in your boat chest. In just five seconds the chair folds into a compact unit that requires little space. Director Chair II, its more modern model variant, has two side panels for additional stability, but it folds a little less compactly. Both chairs match each other in the way of sitting comfort.
The tall director chair may be fitted with just canvas and with deluxe cushions. A deluxe cushion provides a comfortable and relaxed sit, but must be removed before you fold your chair into a compact unit. This is not necessary for the canvas-only variant. Covers are available in a variety of colours. You may also personalise your tall director chair by choosing your own colours and fabrics, for instance to match the style of your boat. Although all our director chairs are fit for outdoor use, you are advised to remove the cushions in rainy conditions.
Teak helm seat and storage pedestal
Apart from our tall director chair we have a teak helm seat with adjustable stainless steel leg in our collection. You may also attach your helm seat to a wooden pedestal which contains a convenient drawer for tucking away all kinds of items you wish to keep close during your sailing trips. The cushion is separately available.
Helm seats made of high-grade teak
Our supreme-quality wooden helm seats are ideal for use in the occasionally harsh conditions on board. They are robust and resist varying weather conditions, so they have a very long life.
Our tall director chairs each come in an oiled or unoiled variant. Unoiled teak has a natural look and requires no maintenance. Oiled teak radiates luxury, but this diminishes over time so the oil coat must be reapplied at intervals.
